Riverbend Fine Art Gallery will host "Pride of Place," a June 14-30 exhibition of Riverbend artists' works, each one communicating the sense of a place that inspires, sustains or offers sanctuary for the artist's creative spirit. The exhibit kicks off June 14 with a 6-8 p.m. reception that will include by a wine tasting hosted by Susan Auler from Fall Creek Vineyards in Tow, TX.

The 6th annual Roundup Cowboy Gathering, hosted by Red Steagall and featuring The Riders in the Sky, will be held Sept. 12-13 at the Diamond F Arena & Expo Center in Seguin, Texas. This two-day celebration of Western culture and the lifestyle of the American Cowboy features cowboy music and entertainment for the whole family. Among the scheduled events: a $5,000 Chuck Wagon Cook-off, Ranch Horse Match Races, a Little Wrangler Rodeo, storytelling hosted by Red Steagall, an authentic cowboy breakfast, a Western Trade Show, and Western concerts and dancing. Proceeds benefit Guadalupe Regional Medical Foundation.
